I worked at Chevys for a month and didn't about this area.
So I work at Chevys. Chevys is located in the business district. The business district is located right next to the water and is straight across from New Jersey. It has the Irish hunger memorial. The edge of the water is a great place to take a walk, since it is a pretty area. I went for a walk in the park before I went a little training at Chevys. Let's have a look see at what I saw.
This is a sign.
When you walk under the memorial, it feels like you're in a cave.
This is the memorial. Atleast part of it.
This is part of the park.
There's New Jersey. I wonder what happened to Old Jersey.

I really like the memorial from your pictures! And now I get a better idea of where you work.

The waterfront is so nice at Batter Park City. I love the sound of the lapping water and it's usually pretty peaceful. By the way, "old" Jersey is an island that belongs to England. It's actually off the coast of France, but we stole it from them!

Did you just cheer for the English?

Michael is compelled to cheer for the English. His great-grandfather crossed the waters at age 19, leaving the town of Swindon far behind. Additionally, his maternal line, although almost primarily Scottish, did have one brave soul that left Stratford-on-Avon with a couple of children in tow. Pamsky

Hey, I just saw a Famine Memorial in Dublin. Interesting. Were there any figures that looked like this?

Just curious. It'd be cool if they used the same sculptor.
I think there's an Irish Famine Memorial in Boston, too.

No. It did not. It was just a hill that is made out to look like Ireland. But still neat.
